Kalopsia ( ka-lop-see-a, meaning to be in delusion by one's beauty) is a personal project that began in 2018 with the intention of repurposing waste materials into wearable jewellery. Over time, the project evolved into a profitable business, featured in Frankie Magazine, and sold in stores across New Zealand. It is a fully self-directed business, from designing, laser-cutting, and constructing each pair of earrings, to the marketing and sales side of; collaborations, styling, photographing, running an ecommerce site and selling wholesale.
